Tahidi High actor Kamau Kinuthia alias Omosh broke into tears on Friday, February 12, while appealing to Kenyans to help him get a job opportunity or start a business.

Speaking on a show on YouTube, Omosh divulged that he was up for any kind of opportunity. He added that he was a good driver and had a driving licence.

“I just want a job, even if I will be getting Ksh200 a day. I don’t mind about class and even if someone decides to start a hotel business where I can sell uji and tea, I am okay with that,” the thespian stated.

He added that 2020 had been a difficult year for him owing to the Covid-19 pandemic that shook up the entertainment industry.

“There is nothing as hard as waking up every morning and there is nowhere I am going. You see people going to work and coming back and you have nowhere to go. It is very painful,” he stated.

Throughout the year, Omosh stated that he had been depending on his friends to provide for his family. He added that he was facing eviction for having rent arrears of over Ksh150,000.

“Life has been so difficult. I cannot provide meals for my family. My children are even wondering what has become of me,” he continued.

Asked whether he was engaging in alcoholism, Omosh stated that he had turned his life around after he went to rehabilitation for one month.

“I used to be a drunkard for so many years. I tried to overcome it to know success but my sister came and took me to rehab (3 months) and after that I changed. I was a changed person after the three months, I had even added some weight,” he stated.

The actor also noted that Citizen TV had helped him build a name for himself and he was grateful for the 14 years that he had worked on the show.

He, however, stated that he was living from hand to mouth because the money was not enough

“They gave me the platform because people still know me because of my character but the money was not so much,” he stated.
